The SafeSea EPIRB1 Pro operates on the 406 MHz satellite band, supporting international distress frequencies and constantly monitored by Cospas-Sarsat, the international search and rescue satellite operator. This ensures a rapid response whenever a signal is received anywhere in the world. Equipped with a 121.5 MHz homing signal, it allows rescue services to locate boats in distress when in close proximity. The EPIRB1 Pro also features a high-brightness LED strobe light for increased visibility, especially at night. In emergencies where the user cannot physically reach the EPIRB in time, the EPIRB1 Pro comes with a Category I automatic float-free housing (ARH). This ensures the EPIRB is automatically released from the bracket via the internal hydrostatic release, automatically activated, and floats to the surface to send the distress signal to the satellite network. The Auto-Release Housing (ARH) includes a convenient adapter, providing flexible retrofitting options using the same mounting holes previously used for older, larger EPIRBs such as Ocean Signal E100/E100G, Jotron Tron 60s, and McMurdo E5/G5.
