Engine, Performance, and Fuel
The Spark is powered by the compact and lightweight Rotax 900 ACE™ engine, renowned for its fuel efficiency. Buyers can choose between two naturally aspirated options:
- Rotax 900 ACE™ – 60 HP: The most fuel-efficient engine in the market, ideal for maximizing ride time.
- Rotax 900 ACE™ – 90 HP: Offers better acceleration and a sportier feel, particularly with the optional Sport Mode.
The engine operates on standard 87 octane gasoline. A key technical advantage is the Closed-Loop Cooling System (CLCS), which uses coolant to keep the engine running at an ideal temperature, preventing corrosive saltwater and debris from entering the engine components. Fuel capacity is a standard 30 liters (7.9 US gal).
Technology, Handling, and Packages
The most important technological feature is the iBR® (Intelligent Brake and Reverse) system, which allows the rider to stop quickly and provides excellent low-speed handling and reverse control for easy docking. The controls are managed via a 4.5-inch digital display.
The Convenience Package—which is standard on some 90 HP models and optional on others—significantly enhances the experience:
- Front Storage Bin Kit: Adds capacity for gear (up to 44.7 L).
- Boarding Step: Makes re-boarding from the water easier.
- VTS™ (Variable Trim System): Allows the rider to adjust the pitch of the watercraft.
- BRP Audio – Portable System (Optional): A high-quality, floating, fully-submersible Bluetooth audio system.
The Spark Trixx package is available for advanced riders, adding features like step wedges, an adjustable handlebar riser, and the Extended Range VTS™ to enable easy execution of tricks and acrobatics.
