The RS40-B includes a Class B AIS transceiver, which not only receives AIS targets, but also transmits
the position of the boat to nearby boats equipped with AIS. This helps other sailors to spot
your boat in any condition, day and night. An integrated AIS receiver monitors the position of others
boats equipped with AIS, helping you to proactively avoid collisions in crowded ports and waterways. The AIS information can be displayed on the radio’s built-in screen or superimposed on the screen
map or radar via a compatible multifunction display. NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connectivity.
The detachable fist microphone can be attached to the front or back of the radio and cables
Optional extension cables allow you to mount microphone and radio separately. To enable transmission MMSI and CALLSIGN issued by competent authorities is required.
